One of the best antioxidants is probably in your spice cabinet!!!

 

TURMERIC (Curcuma longa) is a native Asian plant, a member of the ginger family and is the main spice in curry. The active component of turmeric is Curcumin  which gives turmeric the distinct orange-yellow color.

 

Turmeric/Curcumin is a powerhouse spice with numerous health benefits!

  • It acts as an anti-inflammatory and a potent anti-oxidant.

  • Helps with chronic health conditions including:

    • Asthma

    • Allergies

    • Arthritis (Juvenile, Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis)

    • Autoimmune conditions

    • Intestinal disorders

    • Protection against certain cancers.  

 

 

Turmeric can be added to soup and stir fry, sprinkled on salad, juiced, taken as a supplement or consumed as Turmeric tea!
